What We Do

How It Works

Four areas of action behind every job we create

The 4 Areas

Each Area, An Impact

01
Area 01

Youth Employment

Farm work opportunities, training and support for young people aged 16-25. Every participant is placed on a partner farm with a steady wage, meals included and a certification on completion. Employment is not a promise, it is the starting point. The diaspora can sponsor a campus and put a young person to work directly.

Area 02

Vocational Training

Technical farming skills, cooperative management, simple bookkeeping, local marketing. Training young people who understand their economic activity from end to end ... from the soil to the sale. Technique without management does not create independence.

03
Area 03

Social-Emotional Training

Personal growth, conflict resolution, community leadership. We train whole citizens, not just workers. A young person who knows how to handle a conflict is more productive than a technician who cannot work as part of a team.

04
Area 04

Shared Ownership

Members of the cooperative become collective owners of the outputs. Food for everyone, shared income, collective assets. The difference between an aid program and an economic model is that the model belongs to those who keep it alive.

Flagship Program 2026

SAKALA Grand Bassin

The SAKALA program, in partnership with BARSS, represents the culmination of the KONKRET cooperative model. 15 young people, 21 acres, 8 weeks, Grand Bassin, Milot.

SAKALA is not a food-aid program. It is a demonstration that Haitian agriculture can be productive, organized and economically viable when it is led by and for local communities.

The Summer 2026 program is the first concrete phase of a model meant to support 50,000 electricity connections in the Milot region in partnership with BARSS. Want to help? Sponsor a campus.
